AIG Update: Let's Celebrate Change

It is December and we enter the end of year period. A period of annual reviews, 'best of' rankings, year-end reflections and traditions. Just like all habits, traditions are discussed and challenged. In 2018 we reconsidered our heritage of Daylight Saving Time and 'Sinterklaas'. The question rises what is good enough to stay. Or are we changing things for the sake of the change?

I am excited to write this new chapter with AIG Europe which will lead us into AIG’s centennial year in 2019

The ‘Brexit yes’ of the English population makes us facing unavoidable change in 2019. Due to this decision, as of December 1st we are trading as AIG Europe S.A. (AESA). An important milestone, as we can now guarantee our clients, partners and colleagues contract certainty under AIG’s new structure, regardless of the change we will face considering UK’s future relationship with the European Union. Based on our strong and stable values and with our new AESA CEO, Thomas Lillelund, we are ready to face recurring change. In fact, I am excited to write this new chapter with AIG Europe which will lead us into AIG’s centennial year in 2019.

Looking forward, our 100 year celebration will automatically bring back our thoughts to reflection, appreciation of long term partner- and friendships and gratitude that we are in the position to contribute to a safer world. For now, let’s celebrate traditions and enjoy!
